Rachel Wolmar, Principal

Rachel has been an educator for over 18 years. She began her career teaching sixth-grade math and language arts at Castle Rock Elementary School, followed by a Special Day Class at Mount Shasta High School (MSHS). Rachel spent ten years in the Mount Shasta Union School District where she served as a Resource Specialist teacher, a third- and fourth-grade teacher, cheerleading coach, cross country coach, student council advisor, and GATE coordinator.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Chico. After working as a Rehabilitation Specialist on the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit at Alta Bates Hospital, she returned to UC Davis to earn her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Following several years at home with her two young children, Rachel completed additional credentials in Moderate/Severe and Mild/Moderate Special Education at CSU Chico. She also holds a California Professional Administrative Services Credential and a Master's in Educational Leadership.

Rachel deeply believes in the potential of every student. She is committed to providing a supportive environment where every student is encouraged to grow, take careful risks, and overcome challenges. With hard work, perseverance, and the right resources, she is confident that each student can achieve their academic goals and beyond. Juliane Tinsman, Dean of Students

Juliane Tinsman began her career in education in 2000, bringing passion and dedication to her work from the very start. After spending her first four years teaching in Petaluma, California, she moved to Siskiyou County in 2004, where she continued her journey with the Mount Shasta Union School District for the next 18 years. Throughout her time in the district, Juliane taught a wide range of grades, from 3rd to 8th, and embraced the unique challenges and rewards of teaching a multi-age classroom for three years.

In 2022, Juliane took on the role as the Dean of Students at Mount Shasta High School, where she continues her commitment to supporting the students and families of Siskiyou County. She appreciates the opportunity to help students on their path toward becoming positive, thoughtful and contributing members of both their local community and the greater society.

Juliane remains deeply dedicated to her mission of making a meaningful impact on the lives of students and ensuring they are equipped with the tools they need to thrive in their personal and academic journeys.

Josh Disbro, Activities Director

Josh teaches physical education and serves as the Athletic Director at MSHS. Responsibility, Resilience, and Critical Thinking are core values that are sought to be taught both in athletics and in physical education. Josh is a driven Athletic Director with ambitious plans to grow the program by engaging the community, supporting the teams and seeking out opportunities for growth both for himself and the teams.

Josh started his college career at Feather River Community College and then transferred to San Jose State University where he furthered his education. He ended up finishing his bachelors and teaching credentials at Chico State. During his college career, he spent summers in Etna, California working for Kidder Creek Orchard Camps. At Kidder, he primarily worked at the Ranch Camp leading trail rides and teaching lessons. He also facilitated rafting trips, rock climbing and high ropes courses. This position, along with his love of youth and the outdoors, lead him to become a Physical Educator.
