Rachel Wolmar, Principal
Rachel has been an educator for sixteen years. She taught sixth grade math and language arts at Castle Rock Elementary School then a Special Day Class at MSHS. Rachel spent ten years at Mount Shasta Union School District as the Resource Specialist teacher(RSP), a third and fourth grade teacher in addition to cheerleading coach, cross country coach, student council advisor, and GATE coordinator. Currently, Rachel is the MSHS Principal. Rachel is looking forward to a year of fun and excitement!
Rachel attended the California State University at Chico where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. After a year employed as a Rehabilitation Specialist on the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit at Alta Bates Hospital, Rachel returned to studies at UC Davis where she earned a State of California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. After enjoying several years at home with her two young children, Rachel returned to CSU Chico where she earned a State of California teaching credential in Moderate/Severe and Mild/Moderate Special Education. Rachel also holds a California Professional Administrative Services Credential and is completing her masters in Educational Leadership.

Jerry is entering his 6th year of teaching physical education and his 4th as the Athletic Director at Mount Shasta High School. Academic excellence, equality, and sportsmanship are values that Jerry along with the MSHS coaches expect from all of our student athletes. Jerry is a hands on Athletic Director and regularly steps in to assist any team that is in need of coaching help. Thriving for excellence is the best way to describe the direction of athletics at Mount Shasta High School.
Jerry attended both Fresno City College and California State University of Fresno to receive his Bachelors of Science degree in kinesiology with a physical education emphasis. Jerry has been coaching sports for over 20 years of his life including 5 years as an umpire for softball and baseball. Jerry worked for Fresno City College athletics for 6 years as a student athletic trainer and later as an equipment specialist for the football and baseball teams. Jerry is involved in two state organizations, CAHPERD (California Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance) in which he has presented at the state conference and the CSADA (California State Athletic Directors Association) in which he regularly attends local and state conferences every year.
